Fingers and More

Well, as most of you know, we got our super amazing knives in this past week. Let's just say that my fingernail bed has felt the sting of the blade. After a quick trip to the doctor, a near fainting experience, a tetanus shot, and a lot of gauze, my finger is healing nicely. My shoulder was sore for a few days (ok it was 5 days). I'm so glad that my shoulder doesn't hurt anymore...it sure was making it hard to sleep, every time I rolled on to it, I would wake up.

I was nearly finished making the second/last batch of thank you cards when I realized the ink from one of my stamps wasn't setting properly and I was leaving blue smudge marks all over everything...what a sad day. So we got some shalack to spray on them and they are nearly ready to stuff in envelopes!!! Yay!

While we were up visiting Jon's Aunt and Uncle, we got to see his cousin dance her little feet off. She was simply amazing, she performed in about 11 routines (I know I certainly couldn't have done that!). On our way to the show, I had my good hand chilling in the crack of the window...all of a sudden I experienced a crunching feeling...my husband, unbeknownst to him that my hand was there, rolled up the window and smashed my fingers. All I can say is that I'm glad it was not the hand with the fingernail missing...that would have been terrible. Luckily, no harm was done, a slight indent where the window squished them, and a bit of soreness that went away in about an hour.

I got all of my paperwork back, and it looks like I just need Regent to tell the state of IL that a P (for passing) grade for my student teaching is a grade that is above a C and take two teacher tests for the state of IL. Then hopefully everything will be set, and I will be certified here!!! Yay!

Alright, it's time to get some stuff done. I hope you all are having a great day! Miss you all so much!
Love~ S&J
