Work, Work, Work

Well, it's been about a month since the last post. There's so much to say.  During the last 2 weeks of June, I put in a couple (2 to be exact) applications, one for a position as a bank teller, and the other as an administrative assistant at the church that we are attending. I finally decided that I needed to do something with my self during the day besides endlessly cleaning and watching movies. My lovely sister was here to visit during the last week and a half of June, and I had an absolute blast with her! While she was here, both companies contacted me for interviews. The same day as the church interview, they offered me a job. I took it, and have just completed my first 2 weeks. I have really enjoyed it. I have my own desk, my own space, my own computer, and my own tasks. It's fabulous! I still haven't gotten quite used to being gone all day and coming home to cook dinner and doing all the other house chores. I'm completely zonked by the end of the day, but again, I'm really enjoying it.

I heard back from the state about my certification, and I will be getting a letter telling me that my certification is ready to be picked up, for a minimal fee of course, soon! My plan is to start subbing during the school year. My current position is part time and I have a day off that I can use as my subbing day.

While Abby was here, we had a blast. We relaxed, went on a scavenger hunt to find planets. Ok, I will explain that so I don't sound ridiculous. In our area, there is a scale solar system. The planets are spread throughout our city and a couple of neighboring cities, and we went out to find them all. It was great fun! We sat out by the pool, watched movies until late in the night, ok sometimes till very early in the morning. It was like having a slumber party for a week long. IT WAS FABULOUS! Then we drove back home. We let Abby drive some with us. She drove for about an hour on the way home. She did a great job!

We were home for a week. You know, it's really difficult to get everyone's schedules to mesh up with yours when you come into town. I think next time we will just throw an open house party, and let everyone know ahead of time that if they want to see us, then they should come to the party. I don't know any other way of fitting everyone else's plans into our plans. This seems like a good solution. I suppose that we will see when we are able to go back home. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see everyone we wanted to see, and we weren't able to spend as much time as we would've liked with everyone that we did see.

We got our wedding pics while we were home. They are lovely, I can't wait to post some up on Facebook!

Well, it's time for me to go now, I hope you all are having a fabulous day!
Love,
S&J
